News: “Over the graves of the Druids and under the wreck of Rome,
Rudely but surely they bedded the plinth of the days to come.
Behind the feet of the Legions and before the Norseman’s ire
Rudely but greatly begat they the framing of State and Shire
Rudely but deeply they laboured, and their labour stand till now.
If we trace on ancient headlands the twist of their eight-ox plough.”

We always try to go to the RM band concert at the beginning of July when the  memorial bandstand  to these musicians is rededicated. This year we missed it. The 20th anniversary as well, it doesn't seem that long ago. My brother is an ex bandsman so more poignant and knew the School of Music from the age of 14years til he retired, and was devastated when this happened.
Half our life is spent trying to find something to do with the time we have rushed through life tryi

With the anniversary of this terrible event approaching again, here's some pictures of three of the victims headstones of the IRA bombing in 1989.
