It was an independent store for a long time but was taken over by Farringdon Records, a London firm. It closed when they went out of business. I noticed the other month that Crowthers have set up a classical recording section in their shop in the Borough, Canterbury.  As to dates, I was certainly remember buying recordings at the Classical Longplayer in the eighties and I think it was well established then.

I remember buying records in this shop in the 1970s, I do not know when it opened, any ideas?

It's closed now and has been for sometime, did they move?
Two of my photos.

Then.

Now.
