News: “Over the graves of the Druids and under the wreck of Rome,
Rudely but surely they bedded the plinth of the days to come.
Behind the feet of the Legions and before the Norseman’s ire
Rudely but greatly begat they the framing of State and Shire
Rudely but deeply they laboured, and their labour stand till now.
If we trace on ancient headlands the twist of their eight-ox plough.”

If it is the quay with the lifeboat station its Crosswall quay.
It looks like it is as i can just make out the swing bridge on the right and the now non-existing Northamton st in the background where the large white building is.

Another 'found' scan, this time of naval ratings that look to be repairing/inspecting ropes. Not sure of the correct name for this quay, so I'll refer to it as the Union Bridge Quay until I'm corrected (now home to the new Lifeboat Station)
