I explored this in the mid 80s.
Located nr. Shorne, Gravesend.

I recall there were 3 tunnels in the pit,running paralell with 2 smaller
connecting tunnels.
I remember seeing some names and dates etched into the chalk,
some dates were 1800s.
Are these tunnels still there?
