News: The modern name of Kent is derived from the Brythonic word kantos meaning "rim" or "border", or possibly from a homonymous word kanto "horn, hook"

Former Dairy, Britton St. Gillingham
This fish and chip shop is a former dairy.

The information was given to me by the present owner who has had the shop since 1980.
Many thanks to the owner for allowing me to put his photos on here.

The fish and chip shop is in Britton St, Gillingham, near the library.

My photo taken today.

The ower's photos.

The remains of the former dairy. Knocked down about four years ago.
The dairy became a fish and c
hip shop in 1948 or 1949.  More info to come.
