News: “Over the graves of the Druids and under the wreck of Rome,
Rudely but surely they bedded the plinth of the days to come.
Behind the feet of the Legions and before the Norseman’s ire
Rudely but greatly begat they the framing of State and Shire
Rudely but deeply they laboured, and their labour stand till now.
If we trace on ancient headlands the twist of their eight-ox plough.”

While we were evacuated to Wales, mother sent part of a german plane, she said `crashed in ` The Chase ` Chatham. It must have been between summer of 1940 and summer of 1941, as we came home end of July 1941. I have been round the area in years past, and noticed the roof area on the north side has had some changes to it. Can anyone confirm / deny this.
