If that's the case, I believe this means that there is only one pub left open (The White Lion) in the whole of Chatham High street . I'm not sure if there is any other point in the town`s history that this has happened.

1974/   346,High St. Little Crown P.H.
           346a Pats, Confectionist, Tobacconist.
           348, Friary, Fish Restaurant.
           350, Grenta Hills, Florist,
           352, Wilberforce Restaurant,
           354, Home Freezer Centre,
           356, Busy Bee's, Draper's
           360/366.
           368, East End Hotel P.H.

According to my information the Little Crown was at 346 High St. That was in the 1890's, I think the numbering has changed a couple of times since then.

The number 346 covers quite a few properties here...  :) ??

The old confectioners "Pats" The Little crown, the office block next door and the next shop along was a carpet contractors.

This is the sales page for the office block..

I guess there would have been something quite substantial here in times past unless your numbering is wrong in that list.

This image and details kind of suggests that Pat's was 356...

Maybe I've missed something, but how do you get into the Little Crown to have a drink? Neither door appears to have knobs or handles or whatever. Might account for a drop in business?

Nice old pub, often make this first port of call when having a crawl through the town, bar hasn't changed in years & still gets a few characters in. Good to sit back and listen.

A water deposit was built there during WW2, I can remember it being demolished

Looking at the 1930's OS there is a large area marked "Medway Markets" directly opposite the Regent cinema, so it looks like she's right again on that one.
