I remember in the mid seventies it was derelict and thoroughly vandalised. I had a friend, Jason Brooks, who lived a few doors down and we used to go exploring in the wreckage. I think that it was restored as the Conservative club and must have been a major project as it was a ruin.

Between the Con. Club and being converted to flats it was leased by a film studios company who made, shall we say. specialist films ! I remember walking past and seeing all these young "Ladies" departing.

If I remember right Skipper Davis was at Medway Boys Club from mid 50s to 1960. We used to ckalk the cues on the ceilings as we couldn't afford to buy chalks.

This was next to the G I club, had a trad jazz band playing every Saturday night. Used to watch the little Red Monkey on a black and white tv and Quatermass I think. Heady days.

This might be the place I heard about 58/62 time-ish.   Did a man run it who had a son Richard who had a girlfriend Margaret?   Richard and Margaret got married late 60's early 70's?   I know this is a long-shot but if I don't ask..........

It looks as if it's been converted into flats. It's now called Mannette House, and when I googled it I got this report from last years' KentOnline http://www.kentonline.co.uk/kentonline/news/2010/january/15/partridge_guilty_of_murder.aspx
