I know nothing about the background of this shelter. It is sited near the railway station and is totally overgrown so external photographs are difficult to get. Inside there is one single room with a small emergency exit at one end which has an outside blast wall and there is a square roof vent hole. The shelter is constructed of reinforced concrete.

Incidentally, nearby there is a War Department marker stone.

That is the only information i have seen about it.  Maybe a trip to the library will turn something up, although this week is a busy one so you may have to wait awhile before i can help!
